BOULDER -- PopSockets announced the newest wave of its social impact program, Poptivism.poptivism-logo

The Boulder-based maker of collapsible phone grips, mounts, and wallets said it created Poptivism to achieve the biggest and most positive impact possible. Poptivism functions as a democratized giving platform that empowers anyone to raise money on behalf of any nonprofit organization they believe in.

PopSockets was created as a tool to do good. To date, the brand has donated more than $3 million in both money and product to various charities since its creation in 2010.

In step with this mission, the brand hopes Poptivism's customer-driven philanthropy will set a new bar for companies to live up to.

"Poptivism is a platform designed to empower our community to make a positive impact in the world,” said David Barnett, founder and CEO of PopSockets.

“The platform allows users to choose the causes they care about and to design unique PopSockets grips, 50 percent of whose sales will go toward the designated causes. In a nutshell, Poptivism is a platform for customized impact. I'm thrilled about its potential to make a difference in the world.”
