DENVER -- Ping Identity announced the appointment of Bart Hammond as VP of customer success.Ping_logoUSE

Ping said Hammond joins the company on the heels of a profitable first quarter for 2017 and more than 50 percent growth in subscription revenue compared to Q1 2016.

Hammond joins as Ping has accelerated its growth overseas, with Europe and Asia-Pacific contributing more than a quarter of new business bookings.

In 2016, more than half of global sales came from its Customer Identity and Access Management solutions, the company said. Multi-factor authentication and access security customers grew by nearly 40 percent and more than 50 percent respectively.

The continued adoption of Ping solutions among large global enterprises remains high, the company said, as 80 percent of Ping’s customers report revenues of more than $1.5 billion.

Hammond brings a wealth of experience to support Ping’s growing business with more than 25 years of IT professional services experience, including the last 10 years at EMC Corporation.

As part of his leadership, Hammond established and grew the EMC Consulting business to more than $550 million.

Most recently, he served as VP, global services portfolio, where he oversaw service strategy, service product management, and strategic service partnerships for EMC’s $6 billion+ global services business.

Hammond will be based in Denver and report to Dave Packer, senior VP of field operations.

“We’re thrilled Bart has joined Ping to lead our customer success team, as he has unmatched experience in helping large companies leverage technology to grow revenue, increase efficiency and reduce risk,” said Packer.

“Bart’s arrival at Ping is testament to our plans to heavily invest in ensuring our customers are positioned to achieve long-term success right out of the gate.”

“Earning customer loyalty is an everyday job; it takes great products, enduring relationships and superior services to meet our customers’ needs at every step in their journey with us,” said Hammond.

“Ping’s reputation for delivering great software that just works is only bolstered by their commitment to partnering with its customers for long-term success. I’m thrilled to be a part of the team at Ping as we take our efforts to a new level.”

Ping said it will again host the Cloud Identity Summit, which has become a premier industry event focused on Identity.

CIS 2017 will be held in Chicago from June 19-22 and will feature keynotes and tracks from industry thought leaders, CIOs, executives and practitioners. Executives from industry-leading companies including Optiv, Google, Microsoft and Ping Identity will headline the conference.

The theme in 2017 is Intelligent Identity, Ping said.
