Innosphere lists accomplishments for 2015

FORT COLLINS --  Innosphere  reported it had a successful 2015, during which it worked with 42 client companies in the digital health, bioscience and medical device, energy and advanced materials and software/hardware sectors.Innosphere_logo_USE

The 42 companies generated $12.2 million in revenues and employed 296 full and part-time workers.

The average annual salary for a full-time worker was $52,000 and $11,000 for a part-time worker, Innosphere said.

Of the 42 client companies in 2015, Innosphere said 18 graduated from its incubation program -- the largest ever.

Four of the graduating companies were venture-backed while three were acquired, Innsophere said.

Forty-three provisional patents were filed during 2015, with 30 national patents filed and 17 patents issued.

Innosphere said sources of capital for the companies came from grants, founders, debt, angel, VC and strategic partnerships with the the largest source being angel investors, who invested $11.7 million.

Innosphere said it is currently onboarding the first new company cohort of 2016 with 12 new companies.

Other accomplishments in 2015 included:

  • Recruiting companies to an exclusive M&A support program called Actuator, the first of its kind in the nation. By the end of the year, four companies had been recruited into Actuator.
  • Graduating the highest number of companies in Innosphere’s 16-year history.
  • Expanding the partnership with CSU Ventures, supporting the launch of the NewCo Launchpad with Ventures.
