It’s funny how quickly time seems to pass.
It seems like only yesterday that InnovatioNews was launched to spotlight all that is innovative in Colorado.
But it was actually four years ago – June 1, 2012.
Since then, we’ve brought our readers hundreds of stories about advances in technology and entrepreneurship, along with startup profiles and coverage of innovation-related events across the state.
We’ve also provided a forum for bloggers to showcase their ideas and opinions and have INterviewed some of the biggest players in the Colorado innovation landscape.
Along the way, we’ve won nine awards from the Colorado Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, including three this year.
But we could not have accomplished what we have without the efforts of our fine freelance writing staff and regular blog contributors.
Thanks, guys and gals.
We also could not have come very far without our great sponsors: the City of Fort Collins, CSU Ventures, Colorado Clean Industries Association, Colorado BioScience Association, Innosphere, The Warehouse, Colorado Water Innovation Cluster, Colorado Clean Energy Cluster, AllProWebTools, RMBA Group and TiE Rockies.
We have truly broken new ground with InnovatioNews.
We are unique in our approach to bringing the latest innovation news to our Colorado readers, without (so far) plastering advertisements across our website.
Thanks especially to InnovatioNews publisher (and my dear wife) Lee Porter, who had the vision of creating something brand-new on the innovation scene in a state bursting with innovative ideas, products, services and people. She continues to be the sparkplug for keeping things moving forward.
We believe we have brought something useful and entertaining to our readers and followers, and we hope we can continue to do that.
Please tell your friends and associates about InnovatioNews and help us spread the word about what we’re trying to do.
The past four years have been an interesting and exhilarating adventure for us.
We look forward to keeping that adventure going into the future.
