STEAMBOAT SPRINGS -- The Foundry Treatment Center announced it is now offering an innovative addition to its standard detox protocol with the state-of-the-art NAD Cellular Detox infusion.
NAD Cellular Detox effectively eases the discomfort of withdrawal, reduces cravings naturally and significantly speeds up the detox process without the use of traditional detox medications, which can prolong the detox process and increase the risk of exchanging one addiction for another.
The Foundry said it is one of just a few centers in the U.S. that offers this revolutionary detox treatment.
"A major challenge of any recovery program is helping participants prepare both physically and mentally for the work ahead," said Dave Wilkinson, The Foundry’s medical director.
"With NAD, participants get a jump-start on recovery because the process in essence power washes the brain and speeds the chemical changes in the brain that typically require exponentially longer to achieve."
NAD Cellular Detox consists of a 10-day IV treatment using a mega-dose of NAD or Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, which is a coenzyme of niacin or B3 that releases energy into the body's cells.
The treatment prepares participants' minds and bodies for a successful recovery and provides them with a greater sense of well being and optimism – all of which allows treatment efforts to be maximized.
The Foundry said research has shown that longer treatment and rehabilitation stays can result in decreased relapse rates. This is due in part to the amount of time required to detox chemicals and undergo treatment to achieve a balanced mental, physical and chemical state.
NAD Cellular Detox helps those experiencing addiction achieve balance in a fraction of the time traditionally required.
"NAD is not just a detoxification of the body," said Austin Eubanks, The Foundry’s program director. "It provides a state of total sobriety within days rather than weeks or months."
NAD has been proven most effective for individuals with long-term addiction to opioids and/or alcohol. It does not, however, replace the need for addiction treatment but rather enhances individual progress with a treatment program.
Cost for the 10-day NAD treatment is $15,000 and is not covered by insurance.
The Foundry is a substance abuse treatment center based in Steamboat Springs focused on providing complete addiction treatment to help participants regain productive lives.
Guided by a team of professionals, participants experience a comprehensive program centered around medical treatments, clinical therapy, wellness programs and family therapy.
