FORT COLLINS -- CSU Ventures is seeking applications from Colorado State University innovators who have created intellectual property that can be protected via copyright, trademark or design patent.
The CSUV Commercialization Award is a research fund available to CSU faculty, researchers and graduate students (with PI approval) in disciplines that generate creative works.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants from the following colleges at CSU: Liberal Arts, Business, Health and Human Sciences and the Warner College of Natural Resources.
Examples of previously funded creative work projects include clothing designs, programmatic support, manuals, videos, guides, visual arts and software applications.
Awards will be made from a $40,000 fund. Three to five awards are expected to be made ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 per project.
Funded projects are expected to generate intellectual property that can be protected and that have potential commercial value.
Invitations to submit a full proposal will go out on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017. Selected applicants will be asked to submit a full proposal by Feb. 27, 2017.
