COLORADO -- Arrow Electronics is the No. 1 company on Built in Colorado’s second annual Top 100 Digital Companies report.
The list ranks digital tech employers based on number of local employees and demonstrates the tech industry growth seen in the state in the past year, the report said.
“Nearly 5,000 new IT jobs were added to Colorado this past year,” said Gov. John Hickenlooper in the report. “We want that momentum to continue into 2016.
“Google’s plan to build a Boulder campus is a huge win for our state’s IT industry, but just as important is the continued growth of homegrown IT companies like Zayo and Webroot. Those kinds of businesses, and the jobs they bring to our highly talented workforce, are key to Colorado’s thriving economy.”
Colorado has more than 1,600 digital companies, and the top 100 companies employ more than 18,400 workers, the report said.
Software companies make up 47 percent of the top spots on the list, while B2B web companies comprise another 24 percent, the report said.
The report also noted that the Top 100 raised more than $328 million in 2015.
The Top 10 digital companies on the list are:
- Arrow Electronics—1,600 employees
- Oracle Data Cloud—715
- Rally-CA Technologies--624
- Zayo Group—613
